The Foundation of this Journey

This course has Foundation in it's title.  Foundations must be strong.  Foundations must be stable.  Foundations must be reliable.  The information that I received in this course provided me with the foundation of my professional passion.  It provided me with resources for the foundation of my work.  Finally, it help in my belief that all the work I do sets a foundation that is strong, stable and reliable for the development and education of the children I serve.  This journey continues and I'm ready.

  2. I agree with you. Foundation is very important, a good foundation is what we have got in this course. While acknowledging the fact that this course has positively affected me as an educator and advocate, I would want to appreciate our instructor for facilitating such a wonderful and highly intellectual learning. My appreciation goes to all my colleagues too, the discussions, comments, and blog post from all of you has been treasured valuable teaching resources for me.
And to you Stephanie, thanks for your insightful comments especially week 7 where you shed light on the rod as been mentioned in the Bible. I now understand that rod can and does mean tongue. Thanks for the spiritual insight. The best foundations are spiritual. Just as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The foundations of a person are not in matter but in spirit".

  3. I agree Stephanie. The format of this course was truly foundational. It covered the basics of the early childhood fied that I was not aware of. In addition to the course content, I enjoyed learning about the experiences and absorbing the wisdom from each classmate, including you. I hope you continue to share your 36 years of experience in the next course too. Take care and God Bless you and your family, Stephanie!

I have enjoyed reading your posts both in class and here in your blog. I think you have a strong foundation based on a belief that early childhood matters.
